Servolution!!!

What is Servolution? It is an event held to give back to our community, to serve and love on the people who live in and around our city! Grace Point served our community for 3 days straight with handing out free water, helping with the homeless shelter, cleaning up at the park, park activities for kids, bagging groceries at Smiths(Aka: Kroger) and car washing. Yesterday was a fantastic time and day to serve our community. Tim and I were the team leaders of the car washing yesterday. We had several volunteers who helped us from 9am-3pm. This was the first time Grace Point decided to put the car washing on the list to serve our community. In fact it almost fell through with a last minute cancellation from our mobile water guys BUT another company came through to help us out!  We had such a great turn out in fact we had 56 cars total!! People around the community came and got their car washed for free, got some free water and some free ice cream. Really good ice cream called Magnum chocolate ice cream bars...yum! It was great to see people come out and be served with no expectations of donations although several people asked if we could take donations! :) It's always great to get something free with BUT WAIT there is more! :) We just gave out cards letting them know where our church was located in hopes they can come hear about Jesus. We had such a great time serving with Grace Point and seeing God move! Even Tim has said he has fallen even more in love with the city of North Las Vegas!

Ps- We have been in Vegas for 3 months going on 4! Can't believe how times fly and the fact that it is September! It may take a while to feel like fall with the weather being more than 90 degrees!
