*It was planted by a few families who wanted to reach the lost people of Las Vegas
*January 6, 2006 was the first worship gathering in the cafeteria of Brian Cram Middle School now it is located in the Legacy High School where we currently hold worship service.
*Grace Point Church has a "come as you are" attitude which is great because it welcomes all ethnic, social, economic and spiritual backgrounds.
*Grace Point it non denominational church which means we have no ties to any other affiliation and we elder led not church led.
The Misson & Vision of Grace Point is:
Making disciples of Jesus that live in community for the community!
Core Identities:
We are Worshippers: We are made to worship the one true God
We are Family:We are a picture of redemption and restoration
We are Servants:: We seek to to the serve the community in which we live
We are Missionaries: We are sent people; we are a part of God's redemptive plan
We are Learners: We take full responsibility for our spiritual growth
All these identities are biblical and more so in depth but just a few key points of what the identities are.
*Weekly we have community groups instead of Wednesday night church to study the Bible and discuss what our Pastor spoke about on Sunday.
*We also meet to worship on Sunday mornings and have 2 services one at 9:30 and one at 11:30.
What I love about Grace Point Church the most is we are doers of the word...we don't just sit but we go out to our community and tell people about Jesus. Inviting them to come to church and to hear about Jesus. You can come in whatever clothes you like, piercings, tattoos and you will be accepted for who you are! Our church is not about church/religion it's about JESUS and nothing else!! Hallelujah! Nothing more but to tell others about Jesus!
This coming Sunday our church is doing baptisms. Baptism is not your way into Heaven like some churches believes. It is showing others that you have become a believer in Christ and want to make a profession of your faith.
Which brings me back to my baptism September 16th, 2007 and Tim also got baptized January 16th, 2005.
I absolutely love this photo!
Here are a few photos from last Sunday's Baptisms! Pure Joy!
