As we consider to move into another apartment in May once again we have to pay the dreadful 200-300 non-refundable cost to have a dog and not to mention the 15-20 dollars extra a month! It's ridiculous the amount of money you have to shell out just have a dog in any apartment. Plus, pet insurance, and dog food that all adds up. By not having a dog we save approximately 100 dollars a month. Sadly, we had to take that into consideration as we are getting ready to move and we do not have the extra money to keep her. So we decided to put her on craigslist..,Tim had to take the initative because in reality I didn't want to get rid of her and I tried to convince myself we could keep her. As soon as Tim put the post up we got two phone calls and then they just kept coming. We had so many emails, text and calls we had to take the post down the very next day so ppl would leave us alone. We narrowed it down to three and this is what happened...
Yesterday we gave away our first baby...Our almost 2 yr old boxer. Not having a home with a fenced in yard made it hard for me to take care of her while Tim was at work. She would have to be taken out before he had to go to work and have to wait until he came home which was about 9 hrs later.Though we believe she went to a good home, it makes me sad to see her go. The lady we decided to give Molly to lives in Williamsburg and she has a fenced in yard front and back. She has 7 kids who love boxers and they also have a cocker spaniel. So not only does she have a lot of kids to play with but she has a playmate! It makes me happy that she will have a lot of attention and a lot of fun!! Though while she is playing and having a blast, I wonder if she will remember us?
Shew, its so hard to even talk about and it makes me cry just writing this. The lady brought three of her boys and Molly went crazy. She jumped and played and licked them to death..hehe! That's good ol Molly for ya! She needs the playing and to get her energy out! Not only will she have more than the love she needs, she will get training as well. Her dad is a state trooper who trains dogs and he will be helping her out to train Molly better. So that is exciting cause she needs a little more training...those who have been to my house know what I am talking about.
The other great thing is the lady told us if we wanted to see her that we could and she would keep us updated. We have her phone number and email! She said she would send us pictures every now and then to see that Molly is getting taken care of! All these makes me happy to know that she is in a good home and the boys promised they would take good care of her. Though I miss her so much...that sweet puppy who always followed me around and always wanted to know what we were doing. She even loved baby Kaelyn...so cute! She would lick the back of her head and her lil fingers every chance she could get!
As they pulled away, I balled my eyes out knowing that she will never return to us! But in reality I knew we couldn't keep her and she deserved a family like them! I pray that they will truly love her and give her the love she needs. We will miss her dearly! Love u boos!
SO Sad! I've been there though. If you all need help moving please please let us know! :-)
